History: It is a first and only private arthouse cinema in Lithuania started by 4 film enthusiasts in September 2009.
Organisational structure: The company operating the cinema is called VSI “Kino pasaka”, it is a private non profit company. The cinema is managed by a hired manager with 2 persons working in the administration.
Editorial line: Mostly recent European, National and arthouse films. Very often it is second screen as the big multiplexes get the premieres. The cinema is a popular place for film festivals and film programmes organised by the event operators. We also have special screenings for families with babies, senior citizens and teenagers.
Regularity: Every day.
Other stuff: Film education activities – weekly lectures on film history for film lovers.
Publicity: Having agreements with several media partners: radio stations, daily newspapers, magazines, internet sites. One of the most efficient – facebook.com activities. We also publish and distribute our monthly programmes, flyers, posters.
